23 months - 3/21/06

It's been another 7 months since the last update. A lot has changed in our world. I've returned to work which means Ella has become a daycare kid. She's lucky though in that her dad's schedule is flexible enough that she's rarely there for more than 6 hours a day, and usually only goes in 4 days a week. I really dread the days when I either have to drop her off or pick her up. They make for VERY long days for the both of us.

She's adjusted well to daycare. It took a few weeks. I think teething didn't help her mood any. She's recently gotten 3 of the 4 eyeteeth, which I HEAR are particularly painful. She's almost got all of her teeth!

She's quite the little kid now. She loves to play "ring around the rosie" and loves to involve her doll Olivia. She "mothers" Olivia by feeding her and patting her to sleep like her teachers at daycare do for her.

She's talking now. No big sentences, nothing too profound. No "I love you's" yet. I can't wait for that one. The typical toddler meltdowns are occuring. That's fun. I just ordered the Supernanny's book, as well as "The Happiest Toddler On The Block" and "The Pocket Parent". I don't know if they'll help, but at least I won't feel completely unprepared.

Overall she's so much fun now. It's a fun age.
