2.5 years - 11/20/06

Another 8 months have passed. Our little girl becomes more of a kid with each day. She speaks in sentences, of which 50% we understand. The other day a friend marveled that I figured out what she said. The trick is to find the one or 2 words you know. The rest of the time you simply say "I don't know what you're saying honey". She doesn't seem too frustrated by that yet.

Ella does gymnastics now and loves it. She loves jumping on the trampolines, doing somersaults, and flipping over on the bars (all with me by her side of course). We go twice a week at Gym Starz in Kent. She's done well with the coaches which was a relief! I wanted to find something fun to do with her on the weekends. The kids get stamps on their hands and feet at the end and Ella talks about it in the car on the way there.

Ella loves movies. "Cars" and "The Little Mermaid" are her current favorites but she also loves "Bambi", "Aladdin", "Finding Nemo", "Monsters, Inc"... you get the picture. She also loves Mickey Mouse and his gang thanks to Play House Disney's "Mickey Mouse Club". She's in to princesses and small dolls and figurines. Right now she is showing me her pretty pony (My Little Pony). And then she flies off making farting noises, so that's typical. Girl can't sit still for a minute! She loves Hello Kitty stuff too. She is SUCH A GIRLY GIRL! This mommy is thrilled!

She is doing well in daycare. They say she is very smart and that she has a comment for everything. She does talk A LOT!!

I should mention we moved in September in to our first home (mortgaged home that is). Ella loves having a proper bedroom and the extra space in the condo. You can see pictures here.
