January 27th - 9 months
Ella weighed in at 15 pounds, 15.75 oz. She actually lost weight in the last 2 weeks. That's a net gain of 1.5 pounds since the 6 month appt. Okay, but not what the doc would have liked to see. And she's measuring 26 inches. She's in the 10th percentile for weight.
I'm to make her formula more concentrated. All in all Ella takes in less than 15 oz of fluid a day so this way she'll get more calories. We get to go back in a month for a weight check.
The doc is only mildly concerned that she's not babbling yet. It's obvious that Ella is social, so autism isn't a concern. I pray to God Ella is babbling in the next month.
And this isn't a concern but is interesting. Ella has an innocent murmur. The doc said 75% of children have them at some point. She listened to Ella's heart for a really long time and it was freaking me out until she explained... guess the fact that she listened for so long was a good thing. Innocent murmurs are hard to hear and when Ella moved at all it quit.
Doc didn't see any teeth on the way. I'm not surprised. I'm positive she'll be a year old before we see any. Just like Isaac.
And the doc figures she'll be walking in a couple of months. Woohoo. I can't wait. haha.
So I'm hoping Ella starts gaining weight and babbling. Pray people, pray hard!
I thought to check my own growth chart and Ella is just following in my footsteps. In fact she weighs more at 9 months than I did and I weighed more than she did at birth. So I feel a lot better knowing that.
Her next appointment is at 10 months for a weight check on February 24th.
