3 years, 9 months - 1/28/08

Sorry it's been 11 months since I last journaled. I hope the photos and video on this site have been a visual aid as to what's going on with Ella. I still haven't cut an inch on her head. The longest strands when pulled straight are to the bottom of her back now. She'll do barretts and head bands though they rarely last the day.

Still in to princesses but her focus has shifted from Strawberry Shortcake to My Little Ponies. Been that way since her 3rd birthday really. She's also a big fan of dinosaurs.

Ella was for the most part fully potty trained one week prior to her 3rd birthday. Night times and naps too. 3rd time was the charm. We have to think to make her go potty at times when she's just too busy to think about it in order to avoid an accident, but accidents are now months apart. Woo!

Ella no longer roars at us when she's upset. One funny annecdote (sp?) is that when she's in trouble for throwing a temper tantrum, after her stint in the naughty spot we remind her why she was put in the naughty spot (throwing a temper tantrum) to which she'll often respond by putting her hands out, palms up, saying "I no throw temper tantrums. See?".

Oh, Ella recently (in good fun) called Isaac a "pooper head". HILARIOUS!

She is still for the most part a well-behaved kid. She's 3 (almost 4!) so fo course she has her moments. We're proud of the thoughtful little girl she is becoming.

For Christmas she got the Leapfrog ClickStart Computer. She now not only can count to 10 but she is recognizing the numbers as well. She used to think numbers and letters were all letters. She can use a keyboard and mouse pretty good now, and if you were to show her a letter she could tell you at least one word that letter stands for. That computer was a fantastic investment. Her teachers have been blown away by some of the things she knows.

Little Miss Personality: she's bossy, smart, sassy (called a Diva by some that know her), stubborn, funny, loving, cuddly, fearless. I'll add to the list as we learn more about who she is.
